The firm’s senior partner has been recognised by the Australian Government as an outstanding alumnus of Australia Awards (AA).
He has been appointed as an AA Alumni Ambassador for Uganda. As AA Alumni Ambassador for Uganda, he is required to participate in AA scholarship promotional activities in order to increase the number and quality of Ugandan scholarship applicants, develop a mentoring programme for AA scholarship awardees and generally act as a Co-ordinator for all AA alumni engagement activities and programmes in Uganda. The position is voluntary.
Patrick’s appointment as AA Alumni Ambassador for Uganda along with those of nine (9) AA Alumni Ambassadors for:
- Ethiopia,
- Ghana,
- Nigeria,
- Liberia,
- Mozambique,
- South Africa,
- Malawi,
- Zambia and
- Mauritius
was officially made at a colorful function held at the residence of Australia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Pretoria on 17th April 2013. The function was preceded by a workshop conducted by AusAID in Pretoria from April 15th – 17th, 2013 to brief all AA Alumni Ambassadors about the new initiative launched in ten (10) pilot African Countries.
